The JPS Spikeball BAD WEATHER POLICY is:

  1. If it's one of the rarely-seen in Colorado RAIN-ALL-DAY storms, we will post information here and on the front page of the website, and/or we will send an email to all teams participating on that day.
  2. If it's one of the sunny-all-day afternoons, and we are playing match-play games as scheduled...
  • and then it rains, but no lightning and not much wind, then we will likey keep playing.
  • but if then a nasty afternoon storm blows in with wind / hail / lightning / heavy rain, then we will delay match-play 30 minutes, and see if the storm blows over quickly.  After 30 minutes, we will re-assess the situation and may potential delay another 30 minutes, and then possibly another 30 minutes; but we will not likley delay more than 90 minutes unless the sky looks promising.

We will update this page, the home page of JP Sports, and/or send an email to all teams to notify of delays and/or cancellations.

IF GAMES ARE DELAYED...

  • then we willl pick up where we left off.
  • the on-site director may decide to change match-play format to "games to 11" rather than 15 to help catch back up on time, and/or to get games in before dark (we do not have lights at the field).

IF GAMES ARE CANCELLED...

  • then we will apply your entry fee toward any of the future JP Sports Spikeball sessions, including the League Playoffs.
